Historical Research Services Inc. was established in 2001 to provide consulting, management and research services for museum, private and corporate artifact collections. It is an often stated axiom that an artifact is only as valuable as the
information that accompanies it. A well documented and managed artifact
collection Purposeful museum collection management practices contribute to the preservation of the artifact in conjunction with documentation pertinent to its historical identity. Through the guiding framework of policies and effective plan, growth and development of a collection becomes better focused to achieve both quality and depth. Development planning and deliberate selection of acquisitions support the achievement of a coherent, well-rounded collection. From an overall perspective, the harmony of the constituent parts of the collection is therein better able to contribute to the historical significance of the collection as a whole.
